Stan Ostrowski is a teacher and photographer. Stan developed a life-long interest in photography while growing up with a father who was an amateur photographer and worked in the film industry his entire life.
Traveling to various countries and regions in the United States while in the military and while living and raising a family in Alaska, Stan observed and often photographed the changes occurring as countries rebuilt from conflict, land was changed from natural to developed as populations increased, and towns once separated by agricultural land became connected cities.
After retiring, Stan moved to the Treasure Valley region of Idaho in 2013 and started photographing the diverse natural environments of Southwest Idaho. Connecting development with environmental destruction of limited agricultural and previously untouched lands, Stan began documenting the changes in the region caused by development.
Stan is currently pursuing a Master of Arts – Photography, at Academy of Art University, San Francisco, CA.
