In this series photographs, the natural environment of the Owyhee Mountains, Southwest Idaho is explored as the seasons change from Fall to Winter. As fall begins, the annual plants begin to die, decay, and change colors, and trees loose leaves, and the environment reflects this change, with fields of foliage transitioning from green to yellow and orange, with the detail of the trunks and limbs of trees becoming visible. As Fall progresses and snow falls, the colors and details of the plants and landscape continue to evolve as snow lightens and brightens the landscape, and many plants change shape and color as they continue to decay.
When viewing this series, I ask viewers to reflect on the relationship of the plants and environment as well as the natural changes that occur in the environment as time and seasons progress. I also simply wish to share with the viewer, some of the areas in Southwest Idaho that I visit that are rarely seen by others.
